Three Things Thursday No. 3: Simple Holiday Fun

Hey there!

Welcome to the web edition of Three Things Thursday!! This is issue number 3, wherein we discuss simple holiday fun.

How goes your holiday season? We have all been sick, one and off, since Thanksgiving! Argh!! I’ll be honest with you, I know I said I was going to be all sanguine about the season, but I wasn’t! I still had all these ideas of things I wanted to do. But illness and unexpectedly hard online classes for the kids kept us from making All The Things happen.

Time to readjust! Scrap the projects and just enjoy the season with the simplest of simple pleasures. With that in mind, here’s this week’s Three Things:

Thing 1: Simple Crafts

If you really want to fit in an easy crafty project, I freshened up a couple of posts for you. One has 8 ways to embellish a thrift-store Christmas ornament, and the other has instructions for putting together a window-sized mobile from paper snowflakes. Both are cheap and take only a couple of hours. The snowflake mobile is particularly good for doing with children—making paper snowflakes is fun and the mobile is so magical. It gently moves, rotating slowly like a snow-globe in slow motion. It is truly special.

Thing 2: Simple Activities

No time for crafts? No problem. Honestly, some of my most treasured memories are the simplest ones, and this year I’m sure will be no exception! Check out my newly-updated post with five low-cost classic Christmas activities (complete with nostalgic pictures from my childhood). Plus, I’ve added a new post with the five Christmas movies we’re planning to watch this year—some old, some new, some family favorites. Check back tomorrow for that link!

Thing 3: Which free printables do you want?

I am setting up a library of FREE resources for YOU! It will have printables of all kinds: projects, patterns, inspiration, worksheets… the sky is the limit! What would you most like to have in printable form? Leave a comment below or email me, and let me know! Or if you prefer, come and connect with me on on Instagram or Facebook!

That’s it!

Whatever winter holiday you celebrate, I hope yours is filled with light, love and laughter and a fair amount of sparkles. See you on the flip side!!

Much love,

Love, Angela
