Three Things Thursday No. 2: Snowflakes and Ornaments
Hey there!
So how’s the countdown to the “big day” going (if you celebrate it, that is)? I have to say, I’m either in denial or I’m totally sanguine this year. I’m doing the gratitude practice I mentioned a few emails back and I’m just not stressed. My shopping isn’t done and we’re not really ready, but we’re just having fun and enjoying it anyway. I hope you’re having the same peace with the season this year!
Anyway, I thought that the “three things” format worked so well last week that I might do that again this week. Maybe every week? What do you think?
For this week, anyway, Three Things Thursday is the plan, so here we go:
Thing 1: Everybody wants Christmas ornaments!!
Last week I asked which holiday crafts or projects you wanted to see, and the response was overwhelming: ornaments by a mile!! With a small side of kid-friendly fun. So I’m queuing those up and will be sharing those next week.
In the meantime, I updated one of my older posts on how to make 6-pointed paper snowflakes, which is super fun for people of all ages, so that’s available here:

Thing 2: Leslie asked, "How hard is living through a redo in the same house?"
Oh my gosh, Leslie, SO HARD!!! Right now our kitchen, dining room, laundry room, master bedroom and master bathroom are all gutted. Our living room is full of the supplies for the project. We are living in our family room and sharing two bedrooms for four people. It’s pretty crowded by US standards. Although on the other hand, we are adapting. This experience has helped me to be much more selective about how much space and how that space is used! I'm also getting a lot of clarity about what possessions I really need and which I don't and that has been incredible. So, while I don't recommend it, I can honestly say it's been a great experience so far. <3
Thing 3: New blog post with lessons from a failed craft project
A few years back I did a craft project that went badly. I mean BAD. I had to throw the entire project AND all the supplies in the trash. Not even recycling; trash. It sucked. But after mourning my loss I did actually learn some things.
The entire story and the lessons I learned are on the blog. Here’s the link:
7 Lessons From a Crafting Failure
I hope you’ll check it out and let me know if it’s helpful or if there’s anything that could be better!
That’s it!
If you have time, write back and let me know what you think of this Three Things on Thursday format? Is it a keeper? A sleeper? Let me know! Fee; free to comment below or find me on Facebook or Instagram!
Much love,
